This Gentle Movement Yoga Session is our newest addition to our schedule. The majority of the class in done on the floor. Not alot of getting up and down. We take our time during transitions. This class is for everyone looking to increase mobility and flexibility in a safe and effective way. It's a great introductory class and great for those with joint issues. 🌟💕
All level Yoga
This class is a great way to dive into your wellness journey. This session is for all levels. No one is excluded in this non competitive class. You may find yourself challenged and refreshed in this multi disciplinary gathering.
Yin and Relax
Monday's are hard enough! Join us for a Yin and Relax class that has something to offer for everyone! No experience is required. Yin is a slow paced class that is done completely seated or laying on your mat.
With minimal use of props, such as blocks and straps, to assist you through several poses held for several minutes each. Yin focuses on the deep connective tissues of the body such as tendons, ligaments and fascia. Improving flexibility and mobility.
Focusing on our breath and reflecting inward during class, we end with some restorative poses to ensure you are feeling relaxed and ready to enjoy your day.
Restorative Yoga
Restorative Yoga promotes relaxation physically, mentally and emotionally. All poses are performed seated or laying on your mat with the body fully supported by props such as yoga bolsters, straps, blocks and blankets. Each class consists of 5-8 poses that are held for several minutes. Mindful breathing and soothing music will help you to reduce your stress levels and engage your parasympathetic nervous system, responsible for the body's rest and digestive response, welcoming calm to the mind and the body. No experience is required- this class is for everybody! Participants are welcome to bring their own props or can use what is here in studio.
Yin with Cheryl
DEEP stretch or Yin Yoga targets the connective tissue of the body primarily in the area of the hips, and lower back area. This practice is done predominantly on the ground, easing mindfully into specific postures that are held for longer periods of time in a more relaxed fashion than dynamic active stretching. Students are guided to discover their edge - that place of feeling something but not to the point of tightening around the discomfort. Often called "comfortable discomfort". Learn to work with the mind in this session.
Vinyasa Slow Flow
This class is a great way to dive into your wellness journey. A slow vinyasa that begins and ends with breath work and meditation. We focus on connecting breath to movement as we mindfully flow from one posture to another.
Yoga for Mental Health & Balance
This is a yoga class that uses breathing techniques and asanas that have a calming effect on the nervous system. It will help build awareness of the mind and body and use visualization to feel better and improve self confidence. There will be some standing poses to help improve balance and focus the mind.
